Piko Provisions is a Hawaii-based baby food company. I wrote web and product copy to reflect their values of supporting local agriculture and making ancestral superfoods accessible to kiddos in Hawaii and beyond.
Writing for Piko Provisions, I worked to balance language that honored Hawaii’s culture and traditions while also creating space for joy and play.
Reciprocity with People & Planet
One of the core concepts I developed for the Piko website was the phrase “reciprocity with people and planet”. They liked it so much they put it on a t-shirt! This language got at the core of their approach to food and paired perfectly with the more playful phrase “Hawaii-Grown Goodness”.

I wrote headlines and sub-heads for a range of products in the Piko pouch line, including:
Make Way for Mango: Nonstop Tasty
Okinawan Sweet Potato: Vivaciously Violet
A Bunch of Banana: Sweet Retreat
The goal was to create clear, descriptive titles that brought in some elements of fun and whimsy.
